Job Announcement

The Department of Psychology, Brigham Young University, seeks multiple professors of any academic rank to fill full-time (continuing faculty status) track positions and one professional teaching track position in the Psychology program to begin September 2009.  Successful candidates will have completed a Ph.D. in Psychology and will demonstrate skill in undergraduate teaching, particularly methodology; e.g., statistics, experimental design, psychological tests and measurement, personality theory, introductory psychology, history and systems, tests and measurements, ethics, developmental psychology, sensation and perception, behavioral neurobiology, and learning.  He or she may also teach master and doctoral students seeking a doctoral degree in psychology/clinical psychology.  The selected candidates will demonstrate strong research skills and an established or promising record of research productivity.  The particular need is for teaching Psychology 301 (Statistics), Psychology 302 (Research Design and Analysis), Psychology 304 (Psychological Tests and Measurement), Psychology 306 (Gender and Diversity), Psychology 341 (Personality), Psychology 350 (Social Psychology), Psychology 370 (Sensation and Perception), Psychology 381 (Behavioral Neurobiology); however, some adjustments might be made to fit the candidate's strengths.
