Research

  • My general area of interest is social and personality development and functioning in adolescence and adulthood.
  • More specifically, my research focuses on the development and functioning of moral personality. I am particularly interested in the processes by which morality becomes important to identity, and how moral identity can motivate moral action. I am also trying to understand lay conceptions of what it means to be moral, how these conceptions develop, and the role they play in moral functioning.
  • I also have interest in self and identity, religiosity, agency, and theory and philosophy.
