Upon petition, students already admitted to the program may have requirements waived for a limited set of courses (typically a maximmum of 3 to 4 courses) completed at  another institution. Clinical skill courses are not eligible for waiving and must be completed as part of the program. General core courses are those most commonly waived, based on documentation that the previously completed course is of similar content and rigor to the course requested for waiving.

Because the University receives major support from the sponsoring institution, tutuion is reduced for LDS students. In practice, fellowships and assistantships cover much or all of the cost of tuition.
