Jessie Pew

Jessie Pew (she/her) is a senior double-majoring in Psychology and Theatre Arts Studies, with a minor in Creative Writing. Coming to BYU from Houston, TX, Jessie enjoys singing, dancing, being a photographer, as well as writing and cooking! A fun fact about her is that the only times she has hiked the Y have been after midnight!

One experience that has impacted Jessie was her summer work as a caregiver at the Heritage Community, an inpatient treatment program in Provo. Of this, she shared, “I worked with teenage girls who had experienced a lot of trauma and were struggling in so many ways to cope with what they had gone through. It helped me develop so much patience, and it taught me about how much treatment programs can be improved and the good they have the potential of doing.” It’s no surprise then that Jessie hopes to become a mental health counselor for teens and young adults! She is well on her way!
