Our spotlight this week is our very own Social Sciences Career Director, Amanda Peterson!

Amanda spent her childhood in Georgia, Virginia, and Ohio, but she says that she loves being out west now! A fun fact about her is that she and her family of five spent 2020 and 2021 in COVID-isolated Italy--she calls that experience "the adventure of a lifetime." We are glad you made it back to Provo! When asked how she can help Psych students, she shared: "Psych students have amazing research skills and the ability to understand people which means they are incredibly marketable – but a lot of students don’t know who wants to hire them. That’s where I come in!" If you would like to meet with Amanda, follow the simple steps that she provided below. We appreciate all that you do!

  1. Go to the Career Services website (https://careers.byu.edu)
  2. Click “Make an Appointment”
  3. Select “Meet With Your Career Director”
  4. Sign into BYU Single Sign-on
  5. Fill out the “YMessage Appointments” form 
    1. Select my name under “Select Employee”
