Biography
Kara Duraccio is a psychology professor in developmental, clinical, and health psychology at Brigham Young University. Dr. Duraccio received her undergraduate degree in psychology and her PhD in clinical psychology from BYU. She completed her fellowship and clinical residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, where she specialized in pediatric psychology. She began teaching at BYU in 2021.
Research Interests
Kara Duraccio has focused her research efforts on (a) uncovering risk factors for insufficient sleep in youth, (b) understanding the mental, behavioral, and physical health consequences of obtaining insufficient sleep, (c) developing innovative methods for measuring and manipulating diet, physical activity, and sleep outcomes, and (d) creating effective pediatric sleep interventions.
