Biography

My name is Scott Baldwin. I am a professor of Psychology at Brigham Young University. I am affiliated with the Clinical Psychology PhD program. I teach courses in statistics and data analysis at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I also teach clinical courses at the graduate level.

Research Interests

My primary research interest involves understanding and improving outcomes in psychotherapy. I’m especially interested in understanding how therapists are related to outcomes as well as how we can improve the delivery and uptake of treatment. Often, my research focuses on statistical, methodological, and measurement issues in psychotherapy research, especially issues that can influence how we understand change during therapy. My research has focused on the analysis of clustered data, psychometrics, longitudinal data analysis, and meta-analysis.

Teaching Interests

My teaching interests mirror my research interests. My primary clinical teaching interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, clinical supervision, and psychotherapy research. My primary methodological interests include introductory research design and statistics at the undergraduate and graduate level, along with psychometrics, multilevel modeling, structural equation modeling, and meta-analysis at the graduate level.
