LAAC Psych Advisor: Kate Felt

My name is Kate Felt, and I am the new Psychology advisor at the LAAC (Liberal Arts Advisement and Careers). I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have worked in residential treatment centers for 15 years, first as a staff and then later as a therapist/ director. For the last 6 years I have primarily been working with women in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. I have a BA in Family Studies from Weber State University, and a MA from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma Washington. I have lived and worked in this field in Washington, Virginia, and Utah. I am excited to get to know the students at BYU and help them be career ready. Academic Advising is not for struggling students it is for all students. We can help them adequately prepare to enter the work force, and or enter grad school.

For appointments students can come to JFSB 1040, call 801.422.3541, or send a Y Message to Liberal Arts.
