Laila Jimenez-Diaz

This week’s spotlight is Laila Jimenez-Diaz! Laila (she/her) is a freshman in the psych major born in Mexico City, but coming to BYU from Pueblo, Colorado. In her free time, Laila enjoys music, photography, movies, cooking/baking, reading, and exercising. A fun fact about Laila is that she is fluent in both English and Spanish!

When asked what drew her to the psych major, Laila says, “I started wondering how the world works. How people interact and why they interact a certain way. I then took a psych class in high school and it really grasped my attention just how complicated the mind is.” As of now, Laila says she would like to go into psychiatry! “I like the idea of being able to help people and hopefully make their daily struggles a little easier to manage.”

If you see Laila around, be sure to say hi!
