Michael Thomsen

We would like to give an overdue welcome to one of our recently hired student advisors, Michael Thomsen! Michael is from Winter Haven, FL and is a psych major with a music minor. While here at BYU, Michael is also a part of the Psych Association, BYU’s NAMI Chapter, BYU’s Psi Chi Chapter, the BYU Drumline, and the Symphony Orchestra. A fun fact about Michael is that he is getting married this summer! Michael was originally drawn to the psych major because of his fascination with why people think/act the way they do and he loves to help people be happy. Michael’s advice to fellow psych majors is to be open to any career possibility, as he started out wanting to go to medical school but his plans have changed multiple times since then. Upon graduating, Michael hopes to be a child advocate–either as a lawyer or as a social worker. We are so happy to have Michael join our team!
