Psych 496R Capstone: Internship Experience

Experience Description:

An off campus new work experience exploring your career interests to build your resume, network, and decide on your future career path.
Students work 126 hours in their off campus internship (7-10 hours a week), and there are internship sites both local and abroad.
Students will complete an online internship course while working.

Complete PSYCH 307 308, 310, 313 and have 90+ credits
Meet with your internship coordinator, Alison Sondrup, to get specific ideas based on your interests. Get more information and set up an appointment here: FHSS Internships
Apply for internships, get hired, complete the internship application, and register for the online class.
Students can find internships until the add/drop deadline each semester, there are many open internships waiting to be filled.
Apply for any needed internship grant funding
Attend the internship fair or student events to get more ideas!

All graduating seniors enrolled in a capstone course are required to take an exit exam through the Psychology Department. This exam is not for a grade and is strictly for departmental purposes. Capstone instructors should inform their students about the exit exam requirement, but if you have any questions contact Student Support Services (1003 KMBL, psychservices@byu.edu, 801-422-5356).
