Rebecca Keele

Coming from Porterville, California, our spotlight this week is Rebecca Keele, a sophomore in the Psych major! While completing her major in psychology, Rebecca is also part of the University Chorale here at BYU. Some of Rebecca’s hobbies include singing/playing piano with her roommates, watching movies (especially Disney), cooking, and playing games. A fun fact about Rebecca is that she was baptized on BYU campus! This happened because she wanted her brother to baptize her, but he was unable to return home from BYU at the time, so her family went up there and she was baptized in the JSB. When asked about a psychology position that has greatly impacted her, Rebecca said, “I've been working at Chrysalis, a company that runs group homes for adults with mental disabilities, as a direct Support professional. I've been able to see some awesome things psychologists and behavior specialists get to do. They come up with plans to help the clients grow and I get to put those plans into effect. Working with clients one-on-one has got me so excited about the future where I'll be able to make the plans that help others grow and progress.” Upon graduating, Rebecca hopes to go on and pursue a master’s degree.
